UNCONVENTIONAL WORLD RECORDS

Really bad singers abound, and this topic is a very subjective matter. So I think I’d limit myself to performances in nationally-known competitions / events, and which had been at least televised on TV (worldwide availability not a prerequisite).

The audition of American Idol Season 1 (2002) contestant Derek Stillings, 20 which Simon Cowell described as “The Worst Singer in America”:

Then there’s Robert Unwin,the chicken factory worker who auditioned for The X-Factor (UK), apparently in Season 2 (2005). During the audition he sang interesting covers of The Bee Gees song ‘Tragedy’ and Aqua’s ‘Barbie Girl’, to which Cowell said, “you’re the worst singer I’ve ever heard in my whole life… you are absolutely useless!”

ANother one from a few years ago (2005?), where apparently Idols Netherlands rejects Bennie, Joyce, Robert Jan, Herman, Milan, Ouarda, Mark and Kevin were put together during a football match and attempt to sing Tina Turner’s “Simply the best”. The result has to be seen to be believed:

From the comments section, it seems this performance (circa 2006) was taken from a show which showcases bad talent. Anybody can confirm?
